Igor Bilonozhenko, LMT, LAc, Dipl. OM, is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Acupuncturist, as well as a nationally board-certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). His NCCAOM certification encompasses Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Asian Bodywork Therapy.
Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Igor began his professional journey in health and wellness through the study of sports and physical education. From 2003 to 2008, he studied Sports and Physical Training at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University in Kyiv, where he was first introduced to sports massage and developed an interest in the therapeutic applications of bodywork.
Following graduation, Igor pursued formal training in massage therapy and physical rehabilitation. From 2008 to 2009, he studied at the State Institute of Training Industry of Ukraine, earning certification in Massage Therapy and Physical Rehabilitation.
After immigrating to New York in 2009, Igor continued to expand his education in both Western and East Asian medicine. From 2014 to 2021, he studied at Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine) in New York. In 2016, he earned an Associate of Occupational Studies in Massage Therapies and became a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist. In 2021, he completed both a Bachelor of Professional Studies and a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, and in 2022, he became a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist.
Igor’s clinical approach integrates Eastern and Western therapeutic traditions. His areas of practice include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, therapeutic massage, Asian bodywork, cupping, Gua Sha, aromatherapy, and Qigong.
Drawing on his background in sports, physical rehabilitation, massage therapy, and Traditional East Asian Medicine, Igor takes an integrative approach to care. He combines acupuncture, bodywork, and other therapeutic modalities according to each patient’s individual needs, with a focus on addressing both physical symptoms and the underlying patterns that may contribute to them.
His approach brings together Eastern and Western perspectives into what he describes as Eastern & Western Acu-Bodywork an individualized method designed to support physical function, reduce pain and tension, promote balance, and enhance overall well-being.
